NSMG-Net AGM 2012
Our 2012 Annual General Meeting will be held Wednesday 26th September, at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure.
This is timed to coincide with CIGRE Canada’s meeting, which is hosted and sponsored by NSMG-Net partners Hydro Quebec and Schneider Electric and which will attract professionals from many Canadian utilities and technology companies. The title of CIGRE’s meeting is “Technology and Innovation for the Evolving Power Grid” and there will be sessions covering Distribution Systems and Dispersed Generation, Distribution Power System Modeling, Simulation and Design and Smart Building and Smart Asset Management.

NSMG-Net Researchers and Students are strongly encouraged to register for CIGRE. Researchers should use their project travel budget for all AGM expenses (travel, board and conference fee).
All NSMG-Net industry and government partners are strongly encouraged to participate in the NSMG-Net AGM, which is in fact open to all interested parties.
Please arrange your travel as soon as possible, and inform the Network Manager of your dates and party size for catering purposes.
The day’s schedule will broadly match our first year AGM: researchers will report in the morning, and themes will meet in the afternoon, while the board meets separately. The Theme meetings this year may feature presentations from industry, and the outreach committee are planning a student poster competition for the evening. More details will follow in due course.

Be sure the inform the Network Manager of all the microgrid events you plan to attend, new products or published papers you wish to publicise, or developments in policy or technology of which the network should be aware.
